Áron Tálas has been learning music since the age of six. Currently he is a jazz-pianist major at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy, where he also works as a répétiteur. As a pianist and drummer he is an active member of the Hungarian music scene. His trio came first at the 2013 Hungarian Jazz Combo competition. He has been a guest musician in several European countries as well as in Japan. He was awarded the Junior Prima Award in 2013.
József Barcza-Horváth is one of the most significant bass players of Hungarian jazz. In the years 1997-1998, he worked with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. At the Krakow Jazz Juniors competition in 1995 he was awarded the title “best bass player”. In 1997, he came second at the International Bass Competition in Debrecen. By 2002, he was deputy chairman of the jury of the Hungarian Radio Jazz Bass Talent Competition.
Attila Gyárfás is the best-known drummer of his generation. He is a musician active both in Hungary and abroad. He has played with such renowned musicians as Dick Oatts, Frans Elsen, Benjamin Herman, Reinier Baas, Jasper Blom és Philip Harper (Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers). He began his studies at the age of fourteen with György Martonosi. After graduating the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, he began his master’s degree at the Amsterdam University. Currently, he is a student at the Conservatoire in Paris.
