The performance of the band is light-hearted, cheerful yet well-prepared, playful and creative as the members all started off in the world of improvisation. However, most of their melodies are familiar to those not trained in music because the band adapt popular songs to their own sound. Recently, brand new compositions have been written in the style of Mrs Columbo that is a mixture jazz, classic rock and any genres preferred by the band. They project a cheerful atmosphere from the stage towards the audience. Their debut album entitled (re)make came out in February 2012. It earned them the professional recognition of “Hungarian jazz album of the year” at the Fonogram Awards. Their second composition, Play It Again! was shortlisted for the best 30 songs of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. The band published their second album, Mrs Columbo Live, a DVD recording of a live concert. It was number one on hit lists for weeks after its publication.
